This Hawaiian Islands board was custom made for a client in the US using walnut and epoxy. We first had the board engraved on a laser at 1/8" deep and then mixed up UVpoxy with blue pigment to fill the voids. After the epoxy cures, we sand the piece smooth and apply an oil finish. In this video we mix some therm-chromic pigment into our epoxy to test a trivet.
